Canada road trip: Montréal 📸 Favorite Instagram photos

Canada road trip Montreal

Montréal, the Berlin of Canada as I like to call it. Diversity in people, art, food and music color the city and there's really never a boring moment. Definitely one of my favorite cities in Canada.

Below my favorite Instagram photos from my visit in Summer and Fall.

• Meet Sébastien and Vanessa • Sébastien and I met 4 years ago on a full moon party in #Thailand :-) When he saw on Facebook that I was coming to #Montreal he immediately invited me to his home. He and his girlfriend Vanessa took me in for 10 days, they introduced me to their friends showed me around the city and last but not least they were a big big BIG help in my van hunt.  They used their free time to first go see the van which was 20 km out of the city, then helped me arrange a check up in the garage, guided me through the insurance maze and other paperwork.  Because of them I managed to get all this done in just a week.  Such beautiful people. Forever grateful!  Please show them some love as well in the comments ;-) I'm off to sleep for a first time in the van they helped me get. • #tstCanada with @explorecanada and @montreal • #tstGuitar with @gibsonguitar • #SocialTravel #Travel #Canada • #ExploreCanada #Montreal •

Old Town, New Friends • #tstStories  #Montréal turned out to be really special because of the people I met there.  Here I was exploring beautiful old town together with my hosts Sébastien and Vanessa. Check the pictures coming up next ;-) They took me in for 10 days, helped me a lot in my van search and they took time off to show me around on many occasions.  Beautiful people and new friends.  Can't thank them enough so leave a nice comment as well from wherever you are reading this ;-) Thank you. • #tstCanada with @explorecanada & @quebecoriginal @Montréal • #ExploreCanada #Quebecoriginal #mtlmoments #mtlm • #SocialTravel #Travel #Canada #Québec #Photography #cityphotography • ••• Currently social in Winnipeg. Das Interview • #tstMoments  Here you see me with Ole. He's a German journalist living and working in Montréal.  He invited me for dinner and we had a great conversation about being social, travel and that people are inherently good.  He loved my social travel story and managed to get it published in SPIEGEL ONLINE which is the biggest online news site in Europe.  WoopWoop!  You can find it here:  http://www.spiegel.de/reise/fernweh/social-traveller-bjorn-troch-mit-social-media-in-kanada-reisen-a-991080.html Or the complete version on his blog: http://out-of-canada.olehelmhausen.de/bjorn-troch-the-social-traveler-fremden-vertrauen/ I can't thank him enough for helping me spreading awareness around this social travel adventure.  Danke Ole! Streetart hunt in Montréal • #tstStories  The city of #Montréal challenged me via Twitter to find 3 specific murals in the downtown area.  That day I also met up with Lindsay who is a youth ambassador for Parks Canada.  Together we went for an afternoon of graffiti searching fun.  The tips we got were: Punk, Black & White, Granny and my personal favorite.  Off we went and Lindsay was an awesome partner in crime. She was great with the camera and fun to hangout with. Many laughs :-) We found all murals along boulevard Saint Laurent. If you ever visit Montréal or live there go find them as well and post your pictures with #tstCanada ;-) Satisfied with the successful hunt we went to Lindsay's favorite bakery for a coffee, pain au chocolate (MiamMiamMiam) and some beautiful bread.  Will post the #Streetart pictures next. Montréal is covered in it and it's good fun discovering them walking around! • #tstCanada with @explorecanada & @montreal • #tstGuitar with @gibsonguitar •  #ExploreCanada #mtlm #mtlmoments #Gibson • #SocialTravel #Travel #Canada #Québec #Guitar  #cityphotography •

  1. Nice post, Lynda! I have found that sealing my bowls with the Clear acrylic sealer I get at the local building supply store really helps to stiffen the all-purpose rope bowls I make. They end up pretty rigid, so they are functional as well as decorative, and the sealer protects the surface from stains. I’m not sure if this would be an issue with your dyed cord – do you rinse the cord or wash out after the dye has set? If not, there could be bleeding issues with the sealer.Alamo Coupons

  5. There are those who define a plane trip as a simple and stress-free experience, but for parents of children with autism, travel means going through a series of experiences: The airport security module, the escalators, the tunnels to board , the crowds and the unfamiliar sounds, and of course, the uncomfortable and narrow seats of the planes.Thailand Tour Package

  6. 🙂 Great post! I am an early workout person anyway so getting up early is part of it all for the workouts.https://www.facebook.com/sakuramotorbikerental/ Hubby is not so I compromise & do not do that every day. We typically go places where we can be active anyway so I get added exercise just having fun! 🙂
