Bringing Martine aka Tiny to life in Tournai, Belgium

My second mission in Tournai on the Tournai Challenge was also not an easy one. Tournai is the birth place of Martine aka Tiny and Patapouf which are the main character of a popular children's book in Belgium.

My goal was to find a girl and a dog that look like the characters in the book and take a picture like the famous book covers.

Sounds not so hard right? Well I can tell you that it's very awkward to approach mothers and ask if you can take a picture of her daughter together with a dog to mimic a children's book cover. Very awkward :-)

Anyway. Luckily I have this awesome community of friends and followers on Facebook that came to the rescue once again...

#TheBigCityChallenge in #Tournai • Ladies & Gentlemen: Martine & Patapouf in real life! My mission in #Tournai was to bring the famous comic book covers of 'Martine' aka 'Tiny' to life. It was really not obvious to find Martine and Patapouf look-a-likes but it finally all worked out thanks to Valérie & Coralie. They both got in touch with me here on Facebook and I managed to bring everybody together last Friday eve. The real stars are of course Manon (Martine) and Polux (Patapouf). They really are cute together just like in the comics. Thumbs up for their awesome performance! Mission ALMOST accomplished... I now have to get this cover book like picture in a local newspaper. Anybody out there that can help me with that? ✌ PS: This is definitely one of the hardest missions I ever got on #TheBigCityChallenge 😅😅😅 #TournaiChallenge #Martine #Tiny #JeSuisMartine with @visittournai
