Mixing cocktails at cocktail bar Eliksir in Gdansk

My last mission on the Gdansk Challenge took place at Eliksir, a high end cocktail bar in Gdansk. I had to create my own cocktail with the help of cocktail master Grzegorz Nowicki.

The man has a passion for cocktails and is recognized as one of the best cocktail makers/shakers in Poland and beyond.

He showed me some of his own creations and helped me create the 'Social Cocktail' that you of course share with friends. It's been a pleasure learning from this epic team and I invited some friends and followers from Gdansk to join the party for some refreshing and delish cocktails!

Good times. :-)

The Hewelions of Gdansk

My 3rd mission on the Gdansk Challenge send me on a scavenger hunt for 3 Hewelions. The only clue I got was 3 pictures of these cute little lions. I shared them with my community on social media and was pointed into the right direction by friends and followers very quickly.

The first one I found at the Tourism information center, the second one at the Hewelianum center, a scientific museum and the third one I found at the futuristic Energa stadion....

Gdansk painting with Magda Beneda

The coolest thing about going on Destination Challenges is that you always learn something new. I never made a painting in my entire life and my second mission on my Gdansk Challenge was all about that.

I had to paint a painting of Gdansk with the help of local professional painter Magda Beneda. She welcomed me to her studio and guided me in my first steps as a 'painter'.

I have to say that I actually really liked it a lot. I based my painting on a picture I took before and I decided to keep it abstract. Slowly the painting took form and that in itself is very rewarding. This will be something that I'll pursue more in the future for sure...

Kayak adventure on the Motława in Gdansk

'Find 10 people to go kayak with you on the Motława river.' That was my first mission on my Gdansk Challenge. I had 2 hours to complete the task!

That's really not that much since most people already made plans and the rest is at work. I launched a request on social media and raced into town to start looking for people who'd like to join.

I managed to not only find 10 but 12 people to join. 2 people found out about it via social media and the rest I convinced to join me in the streets of Gdansk. We were a mix of people from The Netherlands, Poland and of course one Belgian. Woop Woop!

Luckily everybody was super enthusiast and we hit the water for a little kayak adventure together with the people from Żabi Kruk kayak.
