Gdansk painting with Magda Beneda

The coolest thing about going on Destination Challenges is that you always learn something new. I never made a painting in my entire life and my second mission on my Gdansk Challenge was all about that.

I had to paint a painting of Gdansk with the help of local professional painter Magda Beneda. She welcomed me to her studio and guided me in my first steps as a 'painter'.

I have to say that I actually really liked it a lot. I based my painting on a picture I took before and I decided to keep it abstract. Slowly the painting took form and that in itself is very rewarding. This will be something that I'll pursue more in the future for sure...

My second mission in #Gdansk was a very colourful and creative one. I had to paint am impression of Gdansk. I never painted before! 😄 So I took a seat in front of an empty canvas at Atelier Magda Beneda and started sweating 😅. Magda is a famous painter from Gdansk and it was a real honour to paint my very first painting at her atelier with her by my side. She had everything ready and in place when I arrived. The painting I made is based on a picture I took of the main street in old town Gdansk and YOU helped choose it on Facebook. Thank you all for picking the most detailed one 😄 Absolutely loved the whole experience. I think I'm gonna pursue this more in the future. 👊 Find the whole story in the pictures 😉 #GdanskChallenge #VisitGdansk #KartaTurysty #TheBigCityChallenge
